Our own pasture fed hogget and free range pork is here just in time for the weekend.
For those of you who haven't tried hogget before why not give it a try?
Hogget is a lamb aged between 1 -2 years, and this extra time on pasture allows it to develop a rich and full flavour, making it a favourite among chefs and home cooks. Its particularly good for roasting and slow cooking and is perfect for these cooler Autumn days.

Our pedigree Berkshire sow Angel has been moved into the farrowing barn in anticipation of piglets in the next few weeks.
She has been making herself at home and has particularly enjoyed the Victoria plums from the overhanging branches...though Tina was not so pleased!

Here at Oaktrack we specialise in cottage garden plants and perennials and enjoy trying different plant combinations in our own garden.
This year in the annual cutting garden, we planted a dark chocolate cosmos with squirrel’s tail annual grass and a salvia embers wish in the background.

The polytunnel is starting to fill up with the first of our salad crops, radishes, spinach and chard ready for picking now. Outside the beans and courgettes are planted and flowers are appearing on the strawberries.
